Why Meditate?
Meditation isn’t just for gurus! It’s a powerful tool to reduce stress, improve concentration, and cultivate a greater sense of well-being. Anyone can start.
Breath Awareness
Simply focus on your breath. Notice the inhale, the exhale, the rise and fall of your chest. When your mind wanders, gently bring it back to your breath.
Body Scan
Lie down or sit comfortably. Bring your attention to different parts of your body, noticing any sensations without judgment. Release tension as you go.
Guided Meditation
Use apps or online videos for guided meditations. A voice will lead you through the process, making it easy to follow along and stay focused.
Walking Meditation
Pay attention to the sensation of your feet touching the ground with each step. Notice the movement of your legs, the rhythm of your walk. Engage your senses.
Loving-Kindness (Metta)
Silently repeat phrases of kindness towards yourself, loved ones, neutral people, and even difficult people. “May I be happy, may I be well…”
